Bayer Spring Campaign
Bayer is a leading mall developer in the southern United States. In recent years, malls obviously have been facing stiff competition from the e-commerce business. We wanted to do a campaign that played on the strengths you could get from an in-person, tactile shopping experience you couldn’t get from browsing online.
These were all headlines that had to be succinct and uplifting—a challenge in and of itself. This also required research into the main trends happening across social media and text lingo. Part of the campaign featured longer headlines alongside pictures and another part featured shorter headlines without any pictures—another exciting challenge when it came to coming up with these headlines.

NewMark Merrill
This is definitely some of the most fun copywriting I’ve ever done. NewMark Merrill is a retail real estate firm that can aggregate customer reviews for potential businesses and they wanted to do a somewhat fun and bold campaign highlighting that capability.
For “Concept 1” I wanted to do this inversion of how people are online vs. how they are in person that was inspired by playful but succinct '90s advertising. For “Concept 2” I wanted to do some clever modern wordplay with interesting facts about their customers. The client really wanted to be bold with this campaign and the challenge with a directive like that is being sharp with the wording without crossing over into being too aggressive.
